This month, we launched our brand new futuristic AI gaming experience – Ping Pong X – available to book across all three of our London venues in Farringdon, Old Street and Battersea.
Ping Pong X will take your ping-pong gaming experience to new heights. Using the latest ground-breaking AI and ball-tracking technology, Ping Pong X enables more interactive gameplay than ever before, whilst keeping track of your scores so you don’t have to.
At the bounce of a ball, your traditional table digitally transforms into your own personal gaming arena, with four brand-new games available to play for all skill levels and group sizes.
Simply bounce the ball on the table to get started and add up to 16 friends. By scanning the QR code, you can take snaps of each player on your phone, type their names and then let the games begin. You can check your high scores at the end of each game and perhaps see your face take the winning position on the leaderboard at the end – perfect for those who enjoy a little healthy competition.
The new table offers up four interactive ping-pong games:
Power Up: A game that offers players the chance to win extra bonus points for their rally
Hexapong: Ping pong on steroids, you have just 90 seconds to take a shot at the highest-value hexagons and avoid the danger zones in this high-octane game of speed and accuracy
King Pong: A chance to battle it out with your group to see who will be crowned King of the Ping Pong table

We recognise the urgency here. At Bounce we’ve had the basics in place for a long time, but that’s not enough.
In 2022 we launched Play with Purpose, a programme to slow the harmful impact of our carbon footprint and promote regeneration.
Internally we have established a cross functional Green Committee to lead the charge with our environmental agenda. The first, crucial step of calculating our carbon footprint is complete and efforts are now being directed towards developing and implementing short term wins and longer term plans.
To help us on our journey to net zero we’ve joined <a href="https://zerocarbonforum.com/">Zero Carbon Forum</a>, a UK based non-profit, which was established to support the hospitality industry’s efforts to reduce its footprint.
In line with Zero Carbon Forum’s goals, we have committed to achieving net zero by reducing, then eliminating unavoidable emissions from our direct operations by 2030 and throughout our supply chains by 2040.
This is where we have got to on our journey to net zero:

<li>We apply ‘Save while you sleep’ principles and shut off all equipment and lighting overnight</li>

As World Mental Health Day (Monday 10 October) prompts millions to examine the things that have the biggest impact on emotional wellbeing, Bounce is encouraging people to explore the benefits of ping pong by providing free sessions to guests.
The benefits of playing ping pong have been linked to maintaining positive mental health (the recreational sport could be the key to relieving tension, clearing the mind and de-stressing), new insight from psychology experts has found.
Dr Simon Moore, Chartered Psychologist and CEO of behavioural strategy agency, Innovation Bubble, endorses the fact that not only does ping pong increase heart rate and movement, but he also notes that the game requires total concentration, creating a meditative state which aids relaxation and stress relief.
Dr Moore said: “Ping pong not only offers proven health benefits such as moderate cardiac workout, calorie burning and muscle/joint mobilisation but as a sport it also offers positive psychological outcomes. It is an inclusive sport, not defined by gender or age, and by being accessible to a broad range of demographics it enhances social connections and interactions.
“This offers psychological uplifts against isolation, depression as well as encouraging interactions with a wide variety of people (which feeds our deep-seated needs for social connectivity and exploration). Ping pong has been shown to be great for improving and maintaining cognitive function in relation to such things as hand-eye coordination, reaction times and problem solving.”
Physical exercise has long been linked to improved mental wellbeing and along with the added benefits of increased concentration and mental focus required, the benefits of ping pong are there for the taking.
TalkSport presenter, ex-Premiership footballer and professional boxer, Leon Mckenzie, said: “Finding ways to de-stress and take care of our mental wellbeing has taken precedent for us as a society now, which has been a huge step forward. My career in football and boxing has made me a passionate advocate of the powers of physical exercise to maintain mental wellness. Sometimes I’ve had moments my mind gets cloudy and It’s been a struggle to do what I know helps.
“However, when I do make exercise a priority, I&#8217;ve always felt better mentally so any positive light shed on forms of exercise like ping pong, is fantastic. Physical games like ping pong can be used as a method for people to make time for fun and relaxation, as well as to feel fitter. Having a balance of both physical and mental wellness really does make life better.”

Atmosphere wise, they’ve got that nailed too. Kane you feel it? I feel like Harry would be proud of that one. Awesome sound system and commentary aside, there’s DJ’s hitting the decks before and after the games, half time shows, a brass band and singing section for each of the major games, and even a special World Cup disco every Saturday.
